How to Register for Operation On Target...

It was pointed out to me recently by a Varsity Huddle Commissioner that it is not clear how to register for Operation On Target so I wanted to make it clear.  Your council office does not register folks for On Target (OT) because it is multi-council event (someday we would like to see it as a National event) held typically on the third Saturday in July in most states (except in Arizona & New Mexico where they hold their OT on the 3rd Saturday of September),  For most councils you can go to the following link and register your Varsity Team (or Venture Crew, or you & your group in general - we have HAMs and other outdoor folks that participate):

http://www.bsaontarget.org/registration

The following states/areas have their own On Target signup page:

NH OT pages:  http://ab1av.us/OnTarget/OT-NH-Peaks.html  &  http://www.flagsonthe48.org/peaklist.php

however we try to cross post their participants here as well.

Please signup ASAP on the appropriate site so others participating will know where you will be and can make plans to signal you.  This will greatly increase your signalling success!  There is no cost to register but we encourage you to order OT pins and to hold an On Target (Mountain Top) Ceremony to present the pins to those who participated in the event.

To see what teams have already signed up visit this link:

If you have any questions please email me at ontarget.gslc@gmail.com

Start planning and preparing now and SEE YOU ON TOP!!!

We highly encourage ALL those participating in On Target to document their adventure/experience
through pictures, and or video and that you share them with family, friends, and other on the
On Target Facebook page at

https://www.facebook.com/varsityontarget/

&/or via Twitter

by following   @bsaontarget and tweeting pics/video clips with the tag #OnTarget

Perhaps some have the Periscope app on their Smart/iPhones and can livestream video that way.
Some Varsity Teams designate a Team Historian/Videographer to capture & share their experiences
and share them along with their team After Action report that details what peaks they had confirmed
contacts with, trail conditions, who attended, what you did along with On Target, etc.  Whatever you do
HAVE FUN and share your experience!
